So you only need a few pieces to patch a bad sport or fill in a small area. Now you can do it at your convenience with Super Fresh Sod delivered straight from the farm.

A single Piece (aka Slab) of sod is 16in x 24in, covering about 2.7 sq ft. and weighs about 2-3 lbs. Easy to cut to shape with a sharp kitchen knife, box cutter, etc. A car's trunk can easily hold about 40 pieces

Q: Why Sod over Seed?

A: It's a choice. Sod gives you instant beautiful grass today AND it comes with an inch or two of quality top soil and growing roots. Seed has to be thrown out on existing soil, good or bad, if it is not eaten by birds, it will take several weeks for roots to grow and become full like Sod is on day one. Also, if you look at the ingredients on a bag of seed, especially Centipede, it only contains a very small percentage of actual seed, the rest is filler, check it out for yourself.

Centipede is the only variety we routinely sell by the piece due only to demand. If you need Bermuda or Zoysia pieces, contact us with the amount you need, we may be able to accommodate or add you to a waiting list for others needing that variety.
